Plating Kits

Brush or selective area plating kits are supplied complete and ready to use for the specific application you have in mind. Each kits contains a full workshop manual with specific instructions for the particular application. Please note that these kits are subject to change depending on the type of metal you wish to plate onto ie; mild steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminium, nickel, gold, silver, etc. Changes can affect the rectifier supplied also sources of supply can vary.

Please check the CATALOGUE for further resources

We are currently putting together videos for the process schedule.

We specialise in the Aerospace Industry, supplying both Cadmium Plating and Anodising Kits, and if required Certification courses (POA)

We also service the Brush Gold and Silver plating industry see the FAQ

On the following pages I have listed the major kits their component parts and uses.

Cadmium Plating Kits

Cadmium is still one of the best corrosive protection metals available and although now being phased out in many countries and applications it is still used extensively in the aircraft repair industry because aircraft manufacturers specify cadmium for use on HIGH TENSILE STEELS as a non-post bake application. this allows for repairs to surface damage to be carried out whilst the part is still attached to the aircraft.

Anodising Kits

These kits are predominately for ues in the Aerospace industry and are used to repair small areas of aluminium which have had the original anodised coating removed by wear or for repairs. The solution is based of Chromic Acid although other solutions are available. The new anodised surface can be dyed (Colours not supplied by Dalic) although usually a simple hot water seal is used.

Tin and/or Bronze Plating Kit

Tin is mainly used for two purposes the first being as a non-crossive stable coating for copper bus bars which prevents the oxidisation of the copper thus increasing efficiency over a long period of time, and is particularly useful for high drain applications such as forklift trucks, submarines, and battery opperated vehicles in general.

Bronze plating often used in mining applications particularly long wall mining which because of the acid conditions uses hydraulic rams coated with Bronze for protection. Can also be used for any bronze application where small to thick build-ups are required, also because you control the mix of copper/tin many different colours are achieveable.

Hydraulic Ram Repair Kit

Minor impact damage can be permanently repaired using the process and often without removing the ram from the machine (depends on damage to the seals) thus saving downtime and costly man-hours. This is achirved because the Dalic System is completely portable, even to the extent that with a small invertor field repairs can be carried out using the vehicles own battery. The repair can be capped off using a cobalt solution which offers both the hardness with a very close colour match.

Print Cylinder Repair Kits

The print industry or in-fact any industry that uses rollers are well suited for the repair process of this kit as often the roller or cylinder is extremely difficult and/or time consuming to remove. Also other methods of repair with say epoxy are not permanent, This process offers on-site in-situ repair capability and with training a plus or minus 0.0003" tolerance with a metal infil molecularly bonded in-place.

General Purpose or Engineering Workshop Kits

This kit can be used for many purposes including metal build-up, resizing, re-surfacing, or corrosion protection. It is customisable to suit your requirements and is best purchased together with on-site training.

 Gold Plating Kits

Thes kits are available in a variety of configerations depending on your requirements from the hobbyist to the serious business user, all the ancillery equipment is quite in-expensive the main cost is for the gold solution which is available in grams per litre ie 12 grams per litre to 100 grams per litre. The most popula is the 12 grams. The addition of silver plating solution extends the use of this kit in the decorative field and is further explained in the Fact sheet
